Corrie Ten Boom: Born in Haarlem, the Netherlands, Corrie ten Boom grew up in the nearby city of Haarlem as the youngest of four children born to Cornelia and Casper. She had two sisters, Betsie ten Boom and Nollie and her brother, Willem ten Boom, In the story Corrie is placed back when she was a young girl during the World War 1. She is also the narrator of her own autobiography, she was a dutch woman who went to prison for subversive activities against Nazi Occupation in Holland.
Betsie Ten Boom: The oldest of 5 children. She was the most devout of a very religious Dutch family. She did not marry but instead stayed at home. She later died at age 59 in Ravensbruck camp from becoming ill and not being able to recover.
Mama Ten Boom: Corrie's mother who died from a stroke, but not before exhibiting a miraculous recovery at Nollie's wedding.
Caspar Ten Boom: Corrie's father, he was a very good, beloved member of the Haarlem community, where he had been a watch maker and repairer all his life. His family had ran the watch business for generation. As time went on he got tired of the shop and passed it down to His daughter Corrie Ten Boom.
